New Denver is easy to find on any map of the province of BC. It is built on the shore of the thirty kilometer Slocan Lake at latitude 50° N and longitude 117° 21' W. Equally so, the Village Office is easy to find.
It is located at 115 Slocan Avenue in the same building as the Fire and Public Works Department. For illustrations, click on the village gallery. All administration for the village is centralised here. Queries of an administrative nature can be addressed directly to the Office Administrator or the Assistant Administrator, in the first instance. Our office staff are always willing to help you.

Minutes These are posted on the first Wednesday after they have been adopted by the Council. Since the council meetings are two weeks apart, this results in a fifteen day interval or even more on occassions. If convenient for you then visit the notice board in the Village Office. The minutes are always posted there too.
Agendas. Here again, the agenda, for any one meeting, is posted a few days (usually the Friday) before the regular council meeting. Anyone wishing to have an item placed on the agenda must have it into the office on the Thursday before the meeting.
Our village has mutual ties with the village of Minami, Japan. In June 1992, a delegation of Minami village officials visited our village. Evidence of this historic visit can be seen in the village board room. It is always hoped that one day our council officials might be able to reciprocate. In the meantime we have to be content with the internet.
Attractions under the village purview include;
1. Centennial Campsite and Park,
2. Kohan Garden, a dedicated garden to Japanese citizens,
3. Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre, and
4. Silvery Slocan Historical Society Museum.
The village sports a full-service Canada Post Office and a BC Government Liquor store. For transportation, we have a small bus that goes between the village and Nelson twice a week, and to Vernon three times per week.
